Interview Queen

I've decided that with 12+ interviews under my belt for this school year that I should start giving interviewing lessons...Only, who would take them from me? (Seeing as how none of the aforementioned interviews have resulted in a job...yet)   :(
Anyway, another one yesterday, and again today...and yet another one scheduled for Thursday...Please keep the prayers coming my way! I know there's a job out there for me, and I know I need to be patient, but when the pressures of the world (mortgage, car payments, utilities, school supplies for the kids etc) are weighing on me, it's difficult to have blind faith without being nervous for the future...Hopefully I'll have good news to report soon!

Surprise!

Just once, I would like to get a good surprise!! AAACCCKKK!! Oh well! Just got the call that I didn't get the job I interviewed for the other day :( I can't say that I'm surprised honestly, just disappointed! I have another interview on Monday, praying that it results in a job!!

Keep praying people! I don't know what else to do!!

Interviews, interviews, and more interviews!

Wow! Another interview this morning and one tomorrow in another county...I must look good on paper or something! Well, why then, do I not have job offers out the wazoo!?!?
GGGRRR!! Just another frustrating day in the life of Mrs. P!! Keep praying! I SO NEED a J-O-B!!!

Dream

Ok, so last night I had a dream that I was hired back at my former school to teach 6th grade...This is the first time since this whole roller-coaster job hunt started that I have had a dream about getting a job...and for it to be that specific (grade and school) makes me wonder if someone is trying to tell me something...I will keep praying! Hopefully this is a premonition of good things to come and not just wishful thinking on my part!

Strange...

Today, I have had two interviews in one day!! At least if I end up not getting a job, it won't be for lack of trying! Sheesh! I just wish one of these interviews would pay off in the form of a paying job!! :)

Patience

I think God is trying to teach me a lesson in patience. I am VERY nervous at this point... I will get 2 paychecks in July, then nothing! I have GOT TO FIND A JOB!!! This is yet another one of those things they don't teach you in college...what to do if the job market sucks! GGGRRR!! Sorry to have been so negative...I keep hoping I will have some positive news to report, but so far it's not in the cards for me :(

still waiting...

I had an interview yesterday...I think it went well, but getting a job has become so 'political' (for lack of a better word) in this town, I don't think it even matters how the interview went! :(
I also got word that my position from last year which was available, has now been filled...I'm so bummed! I guess I better start looking in earnest for a job outside my field since I only have two paychecks left on this school year and the prospects are looking grim for me getting a teaching job for the upcoming year! :(
Well, again, sorry this blog has not turned out to be as helpful as I had hoped. It's really sad that men and women pour their hearts and souls into becoming educators and then end up working at Wal-Mart or wherever...
